In accordance with the regulations set forth by the CARS legislation, all engines must be made inoperable by the dealer receiving the trade in.  The only authorized method to accomplish this is to remove all of the engine oil, and replace with two quarts of solution that is 40% Sodium Silicate. After the oil has been replaced with this solution, the engine has to run until it seizes and will no longer turn.  As a courtesy to our dealer customers, we are providing this solution at no charge so long as we are receiving the "clunkers"  If you are in need of this solution for your clunkers or any other assistance, please call your sales representative, or email your needs to jay@fossauto.com.
